Foundations of Fast Workshop

January 24, 2026

Join Dr. Carbs for an interactive clinic designed specifically for high school runners looking to move better, run more efficiently, and stay healthy throughout their season.

This hands-on workshop focuses on the fundamentals of proper running mechanics—the building blocks that support speed, efficiency, and injury prevention. Athletes will learn how to move with intention, understand why common drills matter, and leave with tools they can immediately apply in training. This taught by a Physical Therapist who is a running coach AND a runner!

What We’ll Cover

  • Arm swing mechanics

  • Knee drive and posture

  • Core control and stability

  • Leg swing and stride efficiency

  • Foot strike position

In addition to form work, athletes will be introduced to basic strength and movement exercises commonly used in a gym setting, helping them feel confident and safe when strength training for running.

What Athletes Will Leave With

  • A clear understanding of proper running form

  • Improved awareness of their own movement patterns

  • Better understanding of traditional track drills

  • Simple exercises to support efficient, injury-resistant running

🟢 This is an interactive clinic — athletes should wear athletic clothing and shoes they can move in.
